Setting the goals for 2010

8 Jan 2010 In: Business, Inspiration

Following John O’Nolan’s example. I decided to put together a small list of goals for the year 2010. One of his blog commentors mentioned that people who write down their goals earn 9x times as much as those that don’t. That alone was inspiration enough to write this small post.

Some of these goals already started in 2009, but I’d really like to check them off this year.

  1. Write a consistent number of 2-3 blog posts per week
  2. Launch 4 web-services with an average of at least 20 signups a week
  3. Shoot 50 quality photos that I’m proud of
  4. Hire help to outsource tedious tasks and free up time
  5. Collect at least a 1000 twitter followers on my vunky account
  6. Tidy up last minute CSS and visual hacks on my websites
  7. Get mentioned on Webdesigner Depot and Smashing Magazine
  8. Stick through with creating and following TODO lists
  9. Send out 4 press releases
  10. Increase traffic to this blog with 436%

At a more personal level I would like to work out more, get up earlier and spend more time with my dog. Chasing his own tail can only be fun for that long.

I would also like to plan a big road trip through Eastern Europe and get a new car. (preferably after the road trip ;))

Hopefully – at the end of 2010 – the text-decoration: line-through; CSS property can be applied to my entire list! (A little bit of Geek humor)

If you have written up your own list somewhere, I would love to see it mentioned it in the comments below.
